MORE Hot Trader Joe Wine Tips!

Two new wines from Green Barn Winery.  The first is the Red Field Blend with a mix of approximately 51% Zinfandel, 39% Syrah, 6% Grenache, and 4% Petit Sirah.  The Zin is not very jammy so this wine is on the dry side but not difficult to drink but it stands up nicely to beef, burgers, or pizza.  And a mere $6.99 a bottle.  Yes, I said "mere."

The Green Barn Chardonnay is very nice with 12% Sauvignon Bland blended into the product.  Additionally, 93% is fermented in stainless steel while 7% is oaked.  The result is a fairly soft, yet crisp Chardonnay.  I've had a couple of bottles, both with just cheese and crackers (from TJ's of course) but also with a fine shrimp entree.  Again, only $6.99 a bottle, yes, I said "only."
